SYNOPSIS
A deep low over the Ionian Sea is slowly shifting southeastwards, while
a ridge of high pressure is extending from the northeast toward the
Adriatic.
WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS
NE wind 16-36, in the Velebit Channel up to 45 knots. Sea 3-4, in the
open 5-6. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably cloudy with a risk of a little
snow in places along the coast of the North Adriatic.
WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS
Fair or mainly cloudy, but clearing is expected around midday in the
North and in a part of the Central Adriatic. Moderate to strong, in the
North Adriatic up to gale force NE wind. Sea slight, in the open
moderate, and locally in the North Adriatic up to rough. During the
night and in the morning cold, but daily air temperatures will warm up
a little.
